Tips and Tricks –

Always have good photos in your portfolio. This should go without saying. Don't use any bad pictures just for the sake of having more pictures. Don't use webcam photos and don't use pictures of yourself with others cut out. It shows. It doesn't look professional and it makes you look bad.

Keep your profile updated. The searches generally show the most recently added or updated portfolios first. The more often you add or change your portfolio, the more you will show at the top of the searches. This also has the purpose of showing more of your pictures.

Keep your e-mail address accurate and check your e-mail. You will be sent an e-mail when somebody wants to work with you. If you don't check it or your e-mail is incorrect, you won't get the message right away. You will have to log in and check your messages.

Feel free to market yourself to others on the site. Let them know that you would like to work with them. This is one of the reasons we are here.

It's not a bad idea to do a couple of TFP shoots to build your portfolio and get the word out about your work. It's a known fact that you need to be doing shoots consistently otherwise people may think you don't do modeling anymore. What have you done lately?

Always reply to you inquiries. If you don't want the work, politely decline and thank them for the offer. You don't want to get a bad reputation.

If you are a model, talk to other models. It's always good to get recommendations from others. If you are considering doing a shoot, find out who else has worked with the photographer and talk to them. It's always a good idea to find out about those you haven't worked with before. This is the perfect place to make those contacts.

If you are a photographer and you are looking for models, feel free to get recommendations from other photographers. If you are considering a particular model, find a photographer that has worked with her and get his/her opinion of her work.
